Litigation and Appellate Attorney
Jeff Koelzer is a commercial litigator specializing in high-stakes disputes for businesses, particularly in the automotive supply chain and insurance industries. He has first-chaired trials and argued appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, the Michigan Court of Appeals, and the Michigan Supreme Court, building a reputation for managing sophisticated, high-value litigation.
His practice focuses on representing businesses in challenging commercial matters. Jeff frequently advises Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive suppliers on critical supply chain issues, including disputes over contract terms, injunctions, and other time-sensitive business concerns. He also counsels clients on complex commercial insurance issues, helping them navigate coverage disputes in the early stages and in litigation.
Jeff played a key role in securing a $7.6 million jury verdict for a commercial property owner in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in an inverse condemnation case against the City of Grand Rapids – after the City initially offered nothing to settle.
