Varnum Represents Buyer of Injection Molding Automotive Supplier

Model Craft Incorporated, a holding company owned by global automotive executive William Kozyra, recently acquired Alco Plastics, a southeast Michigan-based premier supplier of complex injection molded plastic components and assemblies of automotive interior and structural parts.

Kozyra, retired CEO of TI Fluid Systems, purchased the business from Dan Conway, the second-generation family owner of Alco. Kozyra will take charge of Alco as Chairman and his son, William E. Kozyra, will serve as President. The deal closed on July 9, 2022. Terms of the private transaction were not disclosed.

Varnum represented Model Craft in the acquisition, handling the asset purchase, real estate purchase and loan documentation. Pete Roth and Matt Maltz led the corporate team which included Matt Shina. Others members of the team included Jeff Zauberman (debt), Melissa Papke (real estate), and Shawn Strand (tax).
