For the fifth year in a row, Varnum Executive Partner Scott Hill has been named to the 200 Most Influential Business Leaders in West Michigan, as recognized by Crain’s Grand Rapids Business.
The annual list is compiled based on a number of factors including the size of a company or organization, growth rate, geographical reach, and extensive personal contacts.
A corporate attorney focusing on business representation, Hill counsels clients on sales, acquisitions, and similar transactional issues. He has particular expertise in supply chain matters and frequently works with closely held businesses on succession planning needs.
In addition to his practice, Hill has served as Varnum’s Executive Partner since 2019, responsible for policy implementation, lean processes and attorney development.
Hill is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Grand Rapids Bar Association, and serves on the Governance Committee of the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of Leadership Grand Rapids Class of 2017. He often serves as a panelist on discussions affecting family-owned businesses and automotive suppliers.
Within the community, Hill serves on the boards of the Bite Cancer Foundation and the Clarkston Basketball Foundation and is a volunteer coach for youth sports.
