Varnum LLP recently represented InvestNext, a Detroit-based real estate investment management platform, in its $15 million Series B funding round. The round was led by venture capital firm Beringea, with participation from Whitecap Venture Partners.
InvestNext serves as a leading solution for real estate investment professionals to raise and manage capital more efficiently. Varnum Venture Capital and Emerging Companies partners Matthew Bower and Mallory Field advised on all aspects of the Series B capital raise, including the negotiation of the term sheet, negotiation and preparation of the stock purchase agreement and related transaction documents, and provided strategic advice.
InvestNext’s relationship with Varnum began in 2020 under the firm’s startup focused MiSpringboard program. Varnum helped the company convert to a Delaware corporation and has provided a variety of legal services since then, primarily assisting with capital fundraising including Series Seed, Series A, and this most recent Series B financing.
