Robert is an attorney on the Litigation and ADR Practice Team who represents clients in commercial disputes and other civil litigation matters. He advises businesses and individuals in state and federal court proceedings involving a wide range of contract, tort, fraud, products liability, negligence, and business-related claims.

Robert works with clients to evaluate risk, develop litigation strategy, and move disputes forward efficiently. His experience includes factual investigation, discovery management, briefing, motions practice, and internal investigations.

Prior to joining Varnum, Robert represented corporate and individual clients in complex civil litigation and investigation-related matters. He also has experience with private placement transactions for institutional investors and served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Sara L. Ellis of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Robert earned his Juris Doctor magna cum laude from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif, served as Managing Editor of the Indiana Law Journal, and was a Dean’s Writing Fellow. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan.
