Banking and Real Estate Experience

Bob is a partner in the commercial practice group and in the restructuring practice group concentrating on commercial and real estate finance and workouts, business bankruptcy law, and mergers and acquisitions. He is an adjunct professor at the Thomas M. Cooley Law School teaching real estate, commercial law and bankruptcy courses. He also served as an adjunct professor for the Masters of Science in Taxation program at Grand Valley State University, having taught courses on estate and gift taxation, estate planning and partnership taxation. Bob is a frequent lecturer before business and professional groups on a variety of topics, including commercial and asset based loan documentation, construction lien law, leveraged buy outs, and loan workouts and bankruptcy.

Professional Activities

  • Member of the Michigan Bar Association, and its Business Law and Real Property Law sections
  • Adjunct professor at The Thomas M. Cooley Law School teaching real estate, commercial law and bankruptcy courses
  • Has also served as an adjunct professor for the Masters of Science in Taxation program at Grand Valley State University, having taught courses on estate and gift taxation, estate planning and partnership taxation
