Laila performs legal research on issues spanning both corporate and litigation matters. She assists in drafting a variety of legal documents, including briefs, contracts, and memoranda.
Prior to joining Varnum, Laila completed a judicial internship with the Honorable Lisa S. Gretchko of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. She also served as a corporate counsel extern, supporting senior counsel with corporate, employment, human resources, and contractual matters. While attending Wayne State University Law School, Laila was the Chancellor of the moot court program and an associate editor of the Business Law Journal.
