Varnum Welcomes 2025 Summer Associates

May 21, 2025

Varnum is pleased to welcome 14 law students to the firm’s 2025 summer associate program. They will be placed across the firm’s offices in Michigan and Florida.

“Each year, our summer associate program lays the groundwork for future lawyers,” said Varnum partner Tim Monsma, Chair of the firm’s Associate Recruiting Committee. “By participating in important matters, working with our attorneys, and building client relationships, our associates gain experience essential to their legal career.”

Varnum partner Yvonne George, who serves as the Summer Program Chair, noted the size of the 2025 class.

“This year’s class highlights the growth of the firm,” George said. “With one of the largest summer associate classes in Varnum’s history, we look forward to the contributions and fresh ideas these students will bring.”

Varnum’s summer associates receive assignments in a variety of practices and have the opportunity to attend client meetings, court hearings, conference calls, and see the firm’s attorneys in action. The experience is designed to give law students a better understanding of the firm, its practices, and client base. Additionally, the students participate in networking and community projects throughout the ten-week program.
