Varnum is pleased to welcome 10 law students to the firm’s 2024 summer associate program. They will be placed across the firm’s offices in Michigan and Florida.
“We are excited to welcome a talented group of future lawyers to Varnum where they will learn about the firm, client service and the practice of law,” said Varnum partner Tim Monsma, Chair of the firm’s Associate Recruiting Committee.
Varnum partner Yvonne George, who serves as the Summer Program Chair, noted the strong showing of women in the 2024 class.
“That’s been an upward trend over the past several years,” George said. “This is also the first year the firm has had a summer associate in the Naples office – a sign of how established that office has become in just a few short years.”
Varnum’s summer associates receive assignments in various legal practices and have the opportunity to join in client meetings, court hearings, conference calls and see the firm’s attorneys in action. The experience is designed to give law students a better understanding of the firm, its various practices and client base. In addition, the students take part in networking and community projects throughout the ten-week program.
