Varnum Secures $500,000+ Arbitration Award for Objectiv

February 18, 2025

Varnum LLP recently represented Objectiv E Michigan LLC (Objectiv) in securing an arbitration award against A Happy House, Inc. (AHH) and its owner, Frank Lynn (Lynn), personally.

Objectiv, a multinational cannabis company, argued that AHH breached its cost-plus construction contract with Objectiv and that AHH and Lynn violated the Michigan Builders’ Trust Fund Act. Objectiv prevailed on both counts and was awarded more than $500,000 in damages and attorney fees as a result of AHH and Lynn’s conduct.

Varnum represented Objectiv in all aspects of the arbitration. The team included Rich Hewlett and Jordan Valentine. The award spoke highly of the Varnum team, praising their reputation and experience throughout the process.

Varnum has filed a motion with the court seeking confirmation of the arbitration award and requesting judgment for the specified amounts, including interest and additional legal fees.
