Varnum Executive Partner Scott Hill has once again been named to the 200 Most Powerful Business Leaders in West Michigan, as recognized by the Grand Rapids Business Journal.
The annual list is compiled based on a number of factors including the size of a company or organization, growth rate, geographical reach and extensive personal contacts. This is the fourth year in a row Hill has been recognized by the publication.
Hill is a corporate attorney focusing on business representation, including transactions, planning and counseling. He deals with supply chain opportunities and risks on a variety of levels and works with several closely-held businesses on their succession planning needs. He also spends a portion of his time counseling clients on sales, mergers and similar transactional issues.
Hill is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Grand Rapids Bar Association and serves on the Governance Committee of the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce. He frequently serves as a panelist on discussions affecting family-owned businesses and automotive suppliers. Hill serves on the Board of Directors of the Bite Cancer Foundation and is a volunteer coach for youth sports.
