Varnum Executive Partner Scott Hill has been recognized in Michigan Lawyers Weekly’s Leaders in the Law Class of 2025.
The award recognizes attorneys who set the standard of excellence in the profession. Honorees are recognized for their expertise, contributions to the practice of law and the justice system, as well as their commitment to leadership and mentorship.
Hill is a corporate attorney specializing in business representation, transactions, planning, and counseling. He has particular expertise in supply chain matters and frequently works with closely held businesses on succession planning needs. His work includes managing acquisitions and mergers across industries, such as the $225 million sale of laser cosmetic surgery assets to a private equity fund and the $415 million merger of multiple automotive suppliers.
Recognized for his contributions to the legal community, Hill was appointed in 2025 to the Law360 Michigan Editorial Advisory Board, offering insight on Michigan’s legal and business landscape, and was named to the 200 Most Influential Business Leaders in West Michigan. He also serves on the Grand Rapids Chamber’s Budget and Finance Committee and is an active member of the Economic Club of Grand Rapids.
Within the community, Hill has served on the boards of the Bite Cancer Foundation and the Clarkston Basketball Foundation and volunteers as a youth sports coach for baseball.
