Varnum’s MiSpringboard program has served more than 1,000 clients since its launch in 2011.
MiSpringboard provides legal service grants to startup and emerging businesses that are qualified through more than 70 referral partners, helping entrepreneurs address early-stage legal needs and position their companies for growth. To date, the program has supported clients in 175 Michigan communities, 26 other states, and five countries.
“Reaching this milestone reflects the creativity, ambition, and determination of the entrepreneurs we have had the opportunity to support,” said Staci DeRegnaucourt, a Varnum partner and co-leader of the MiSpringboard Committee. “It’s rewarding to help them address important legal needs and build a strong foundation for their growth.”
More than 200 Varnum attorneys have worked on MiSpringboard matters since the program launched, supporting businesses as they navigate the legal issues involved in launching, operating, financing, and growing a company. Clients represent a range of industries, including technology, consumer products, energy, financial services, health care, manufacturing, agriculture, real estate, retail, and professional services.
MiSpringboard attorneys connect with promising startups and emerging businesses through a network of more than 70 referral partners across Michigan. These partners include accelerators, economic development organizations, investor groups, and university innovation centers.
