Varnum LLP recently represented Bradford White Corporation (Bradford White) in its acquisition of Universal Technologies of Wisconsin, Tank Technologies, and Bock Water Heaters (collectively known as Bock Water Heaters).
Founded in 1881, Bradford White is an industry-leading manufacturer of water heaters, boilers, and storage tanks for customers all over the world. For more than 30 years, Bock has served as both a supplier and customer to Bradford White. Over time, the business relationship grew, making Bock’s transition into the Bradford White family of companies a natural next step.
Varnum’s full-service deal team was led by Jake Droppers and included John Arendshorst, Lauren Parker, Steve Morren, and Schuyler Pruis. The team assisted Bradford White with transaction structuring, due diligence, and drafting and negotiating transaction documents.
“We know from first-hand experience Bock’s commitment to manufacturing high-quality products and our companies share many of the same values; we’re excited to welcome the Bock family into ours,” said Bruce Carnevale, president and CEO of Bradford White. “I’m grateful for our partners at Varnum for their clear guidance and exceptional legal expertise throughout the acquisition process. Their understanding and dedication were instrumental in ensuring a smooth transition.”
