Varnum is pleased to announce that attorney Andrew Revelle has joined the firm’s Litigation and ADR Practice Team in the Grand Rapids office.
Revelle focuses his practice on environmental disputes and related regulatory matters, including compliance, permitting, and enforcement issues involving air quality, water quality, contaminated properties, remediation, and redevelopment. His work includes matters involving the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act, National Environmental Policy Act, and Endangered Species Act.
Additionally, Revelle conducts environmental due diligence for conventional and renewable energy projects and represents clients in federal and state environmental enforcement matters. His litigation experience includes Clean Air Act matters before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Prior to joining Varnum, Revelle handled environmental matters at Holland & Hart LLP in Salt Lake City. He also served as a law clerk with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Environmental Appeals Board and the Salt Lake City Attorney’s Office.
Revelle earned his J.D. from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, where he graduated Order of the Coif and served as executive footnote editor of the Utah Law Review. He also holds a master’s degree in natural resources from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point and a bachelor’s degree in environmental science from the University of Virginia.
