Eric Post Named to World Affairs Council Board of Directors

Varnum partner Eric Post was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the World Affairs Council of Western Michigan. He will serve a three-year term beginning July 1.

The World Affairs Council is a non-partisan, nonprofit organization whose purpose is to educate, promote and provide forums for conversation on international topics. The council provides regular programming featuring international speakers, with the mission of empowering people and organizations of West Michigan to engage thoughtfully with the world. Former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch, is the featured speaker at the upcoming anniversary event on June 24.

Post is a business and corporate attorney who works with startups, private and family-owned businesses and multinational companies in various industries. He works with clients through the lifespan of their businesses, from formation or acquisition to sale or other exit.

In addition to the World Affairs Council, Post’s community involvement includes serving on the board and Executive Committee for Camp Blodgett and as a volunteer for Junior Achievement of the Michigan Great Lakes. He formerly served for many years on the board for The People Center, a social service organization providing a variety of assistance to those in need.
