Varnum Executive Partner Adam Brody has been named to the 2026 Who’s Who in West Michigan by Crain’s Grand Rapids Business, recognizing leaders shaping the region’s business community.
Who’s Who debuts this year as the evolution of Crain’s 200 Most Influential Leaders in West Michigan program. Honorees were selected by the Crain’s editorial team based on their leadership, expertise, and influence in the West Michigan business community.
Brody became Varnum’s Executive Partner this year and chairs the firm’s Executive Committee, helping oversee firm policy, operations, and attorney development. He joined Varnum in 1995 and has more than 25 years of litigation experience representing clients in state and federal trial and appellate courts.
As a member of the firm’s Litigation and Trial Practice Team, Brody has extensive first-chair experience across a variety of commercial disputes, including automotive supply, restrictive covenants, real estate, tax, and post-closing transactional matters. His practice also includes mobility, data privacy, intellectual property, licensing disputes, probate litigation, and appellate and arbitration matters.
Throughout his career, Brody has achieved significant trial and appellate results. His experience includes securing a $2.375 million FINRA arbitration award for investors against a national securities firm, defending a national health care software provider in a $92 million copyright claim, and arguing before the Sixth Circuit in a case of first impression involving the distribution rights of a withdrawing LLC member. He has also secured a reversal from the Michigan Supreme Court in a case involving governmental immunity and contempt powers.
Brody was also recognized as a 2026 Crain’s Notable Leader in Accounting, Consulting, and Law and serves on Law360’s 2026 Michigan Editorial Advisory Board.
Who’s Who in West Michigan will be published online by Crain’s Grand Rapids Business and will also appear in the 2026 edition of The Book.
