Acrisure, a fast-growing fintech leader operating a top-10 global insurance broker, has expanded into Spain with its recent acquisition of Summa Insurance Brokerage.
The deal, which closed this month, brings Summa into Acrisure’s global network that provides insurance, reinsurance, asset management, real estate and cyber services. Founded in 2005, Summa has grown its revenues to over $13 million and expanded its offices and franchises throughout Spain.
Varnum partner Seth Ashby worked closely with Acrisure’s International M&A team and Spanish counsel who handled the due diligence and Spanish law aspects of the deal. Ashby led negotiation of the definitive agreements and handled the U.S. aspects.
Acrisure is one of the fastest growing fintech companies in the world, completing nearly 700 acquisitions in the past several years. Varnum has served as legal counsel in almost all of these transactions. More about the deal can be found in Acrisure’s announcement.
