Julia Sommerfeld supports Varnum practice teams through legal research, legal writing, drafting memoranda and complaints, preparing client advisories, and assisting with case preparation. She began her career as a legal intern with the State Board of Education of Ohio, where she gained experience in public-sector legal work and supporting attorneys on a range of matters. Her position provided her with a strong foundation in legal research, writing, and analysis, as well as insight into the legal and regulatory issues affecting state agencies. Her admission to the State Bar of Michigan is currently pending.
