Zachariah J. Snyder

Corporate Attorney

Zach is a member of Varnum’s Business and Corporate Services Practice Team, where he focuses on corporate transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and private equity. He represents clients through all stages of the deal process, with experience drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, ancillary documents, and disclosure schedules, and managing both buy-side and sell-side due diligence.

Zach regularly advises private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, closely held businesses, and investors on a range of corporate matters, including entity formation and structuring, governance arrangements with investors, corporate reorganizations, and day-to-day commercial issues, and has represented clients in buy-side and sell-side transactions ranging in size from under $1 million to over $1 billion. He also supports domestic and international transactions and counsels clients on solutions to help efficiently manage transactions through closing.

Prior to joining Varnum, Zach practiced at two national law firms, where he served as senior associate on numerous high-value transactions across multiple industries, including manufacturing, technology, healthcare, veterinary services, consumer products, disaster recovery, and professional services.

Zach is admitted in Illinois and New York. His admission to the State Bar of Michigan is currently pending.

Represented private equity sponsor in multiple roll-up acquisitions in the disaster recovery and remediation industry.

Represented private equity sponsor in acquisition of multiple entities onto security technology and door installation platform.

Represented private equity sponsor in add-on acquisition of a steel manufacturer and data center construction entity.

Represented private equity sponsor in acquisition of a commercial lift manufacturing and distribution company.

Represented private equity sponsor in multiple veterinary practice acquisitions in Alabama, Washington, and Illinois and advised on complex regulatory structuring matters involving professional entities.

Advised client on the buyout of shareholder and reorganization of a business operating live music venues in Detroit.

Advised client in co-investment in a private equity platform operating in the auto collision space.

Advised international client in creation of SPV for, and negotiating of, minority investment in a health care technology company.
