Corporate Attorney

Alan is a member of Varnum’s Business and Corporate Services Practice Team, where he focuses on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and other corporate and transactional matters. He represents closely held businesses, financial institutions, private investors, and commercial clients through all stages of the business lifecycle, with experience spanning corporate governance, commercial contract negotiation, real estate transactions, restructuring matters, and liquor licensing issues. His transactional practice includes overseeing due diligence reviews for high-value domestic and multijurisdictional deals, and counseling clients on solutions that move transactions efficiently toward closing.

Alan has significant prior experience in commercial finance transactions, including drafting and negotiating credit document suites for large bilateral loan transactions such as term loans, revolving lines of credit and construction loan facilities. He has also advised participant lenders in connection with major loan syndications.
