Varnum is pleased to announce that attorney Joanna Pizzo has joined the firm’s Real Estate Practice Team in the Naples office.
Pizzo focuses her practice on real estate matters for condominium and homeowners’ associations. She works closely with boards and property managers, providing general counsel on issues affecting day-to-day community operations.
In this role, Pizzo advises clients on interpreting and enforcing governing documents, compliance matters, director and officer responsibilities, and insurance concerns. Her litigation experience informs her approach, giving her insight into how disputes may arise and allowing her to help clients proactively manage risk and address issues early.
Prior to joining the firm, Pizzo practiced in Florida and Illinois, where she handled commercial litigation and bankruptcy matters in both state and federal courts. She also served as a fellow with the City of Chicago’s Federal Civil Rights Litigation Division, where she assisted with trial preparation and federal court proceedings.
Pizzo earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois College of Law and her undergraduate degree from Florida State University.
