Varnum Estate Planning Team Recognized in Chambers HNW Guide

July 30, 2020

Varnum’s Estate Planning Practice Team is once again recognized by Chambers HNW, a guide that ranks lawyers and law firms for international private wealth. Varnum is one of only five Michigan-based firms recognized in the 2020 guide.

The Chambers HNW guide, used by family offices and professional advisers to wealthy individuals, provides objective guidance on an international scale. Using in-depth analysis provided by a team of experienced researchers, the guide assesses law firms on technical ability, client service, depth of team, commercial vision and business understanding, and value.

Released in July, the 2020 guide included the following statements about Varnum:

“Varnum’s estate planning team advises on matters for high net worth clients including trusts, succession planning and charitable planning. Sources say: ‘Varnum is an excellent firm’ with ‘a strong team.’”

“An interviewee says: ‘All of the members of the team have been extremely competent and a pleasure to work with as a counsel and as a person.’”

Varnum’s Estate Planning Practice Team is one of the largest in the state, experienced in the most sophisticated tax and planning techniques. The team offers a broad range of services to fit individual needs, from the simplest plans to the most complex.

In addition to lawyers and law firms, Chambers HNW guide features listings and information about many of the top accountancy and tax firms, private banks, wealth management firms and multifamily offices acting for high net worth individuals.

Chambers and Partners is a London-based research and publishing organization that has been ranking lawyers and law firms for almost 30 years. Guides compiled by Chambers are based on the research of 200 analysts who conduct telephone interviews with lawyers and clients.
