Nonimmigrant Work Visa Ban Expires
The June 24, 2020 proclamation by the Trump administration preventing U.S. Consulates from issuing H-1B, H-2B, L-1, J-1 nonimmigrant work visas along with dependent spouses and children expired on March 31, 2021. The Biden administration will not extend. However, visa appointment availability remains limited due to reduced U. S. consular operations.
COVID travel restrictions from Brazil, China, Iran, South Africa, the Schengen area, Ireland and the UK remain. A negative COVID test or evidence of recent COVID recovery is also required for air travel to the US.
