MMAEG Outreach Meeting to be held January 31, 2013
In order to provide a forum to discuss mining policy, governance, and public education relating to the expanding mining industry in Michigan, a range of individuals, companies, institutions and associations have expressed interest in the creation of a broad-based mining trade association. The Michigan Mining Association Exploratory Group (MMAEG) will continue to explore the concepts and ideas generated from past conference calls and gatherings by hosting a meeting of interested parties. MMAEG is planning its next planning/informational meeting to be held on January 31, 2013. The agenda for this meeting will focus on outreach, organizational planning for the establishment of a trade association, and the development of a spring technical/organizational meeting.
The January 31 meeting will be held at locations in Michigan’s Lower and Upper Peninsulas connected by video link.
