Last Chance For FY 2011 H-1B Cap

January 4, 2011

As of December 31, 2010, there are approximately 7,700 H-1B visas remaining for the fiscal year 2011 H-1B cap. The cap will likely be reached within the next few weeks. USCIS will conduct a random selection lottery among petitions received on the final receipt date.

The H-1B cap limitation does not apply to extensions of H-1B status or those obtaining H-1B status to teach at colleges, universities, related nonprofit or government research organizations or J waiver physicians.

If your company has potential H-1B candidates, please contact us as soon as possible to prepare H-1B petitions for these individuals to secure an available visa. USCIS will begin accepting applications for the fiscal year 2012 H-1B cap on April 1, 2011 for a start date of October 1, 2011.
