Form I-9 Validity Extended

June 29, 2009

United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that the current Form I-9 (Rev. 02/02/09) will continue to be valid for use after the 06/30/2009 expiration date listed on the form. USCIS has requested approval of continued use of the current version and when approved, a new version will be issued. At that time, employers will be able to use either the Form I-9 with the new revision date or the 02/02/09 version.
