Varnum Welcomes Corporate Partner Steven J. Enwright

Strategic Business Attorney Enhances Firm’s Corporate, Venture Capital and Emerging Companies Practices

Varnum is pleased to announce that Steven J. Enwright has joined the firm’s Business and Corporate Services practice team. He is based in the firm’s Birmingham office.

Enwright is an experienced business attorney and joins the firm as a partner. His practice focuses on general corporate counseling and development, M&A, technology licensing, strategic alliances and various types of financing including seed, venture and private equity financing.

“We are thrilled to add Steve and his deep transactional experience to our venture capital and emerging companies practice,” said Varnum Chair Ron DeWaard. “His combination of extensive in-house and law firm experience will serve our clients well.”

Enwright has extensive experience representing startups and emerging companies in diverse industries including technology and software developers, data companies, cloud-based service companies, IT companies, marketing agencies, automotive suppliers, property developers, craft breweries and distilleries, chefs and restaurants, filmmakers, musicians and artists.

“Steve’s deep experience in venture-backed M&A and strategic transactions adds yet another key facet to our thriving corporate practice,” said Michael Romaya, lead partner in the firm’s Birmingham office. “We’re very pleased to welcome him and anticipate potential opportunities for our clients in this space.”

In addition to his law degree from Wayne State University Law School where he was a member of Law Review and Moot Court, Enwright holds an MBA from Wayne State University. He received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University.
