Varnum Welcomes 10 Law Students as Summer Associates

June 21, 2011

Varnum is pleased to announce ten law students have joined the firm as summer associates.

Each year, Varnum selects students to join the firm through an intensive and competitive application process. The ten students selected will spend the summer working in a variety of practice areas under the mentorship of Varnum attorneys, including legal research, writing and involvement with Varnum's pro bono efforts.

In addition to exposing law students to various practice areas within the legal field, Varnum provides summer associates with a taste of Michigan by organizing a variety of activities, including baseball games, golf lessons and a trip to Lake Michigan.

"We have an incredibly talented group of summer associates," said Kim DeBoer, recruiting coordinator at Varnum. "Each year, our goal is to give the summer associates as much hands-on, real-life experience as we can. Working with these bright and talented students is a privilege."
