Varnum Hosting Public Meetings on Kalamazoo River Oil Spill

August 11, 2010

Varnum attorneys are hosting two informational meetings for property owners affected by the recent oil spill in the Kalamazoo River. The meetings will address the following:

  • What impact could the spill have on property, property values, business and health?
  • What should affected persons be doing to document damage to real property, personal property, lost business and health concerns?
  • Should property owners allow access to their property over the coming weeks and months? and on what terms and conditions?

EPA is in charge of cleanup efforts. Updates are posted on their site at http://www.epa.gov/enbridgespill/
