Varnum Awards Diversity and Inclusion Pre-Law Internship for 2014
Varnum is pleased to announce that Calvin College student Serena Hamann has been selected for the 2014 Diversity and Inclusion Pre-Law Internship Program.
The Pre-Law Internship program was created to provide encouragement and experience to college students who embody a commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion and who are considering a career in law. Designed to expose students to all areas of a large law firm, the internship will go through the spring semester and will consist of working with attorneys and support departments of the firm, including marketing, human resources, research, and central services.
Hamann is a Junior at Calvin College majoring in International Relations and Spanish, with a minor in International Development. She is a member of the Calvin College Honors Council and participated in the start-up of Calvin's Phi Sigma Alpha Political Science National Honors Society.
In order to be considered for this internship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Academic achievement as reflected by a cumulative minimum 3.0 GPA
- Member of an ethnic or racial minority or demonstrate a significant commitment to issues of ethnic or racial diversity and inclusion
- Sophomore or junior level student currently attending an accredited Michigan college or university
