Timothy Gordon Joins Varnum Corporate Team

Varnum is pleased to announce that Timothy Gordon has joined the firm’s Business and Corporate Services practice team. He is based in the firm’s Grand Rapids office.

Gordon represents public and private U.S. and multinational companies and private equity firms in a variety of domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other strategic investment transactions. He serves clients in a variety of industries including financial services, mortgage services, railroads, industrial products, chemicals and energy.

Gordon is also experienced in representing underwriters in issuing representation and warranty insurance. In addition to his M&A practice experience, he participated in a secondment with Beazley Group’s Atlanta-based underwriters early in his career, assisting with various M&A representations and warranties insurance underwriting services.

Gordon graduated cum laude from the Maurer School of Law at Indiana University where he served as managing editor for the Indiana Law Review. He earned both a Master of Business Administration degree and undergraduate degree (With Highest Distinction and With Honors in Business) from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.

During law school, Gordon served as an intern with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in the Division of Corporation Finance. He joins Varnum from the Chicago office of a global law firm.
