Tax Planning and Same Sex Couples Among the Topics at ICLE's 2014 Annual Tax Conference
Varnum attorneys Thomas H. Bergh and Eric M. Nemeth will present at the Institute of Continuing Legal Education's (ICLE) 27th annual Tax Conference on May 22, 2014 in Plymouth, MI. The annual conference, presented by the Taxation Section of the State Bar of Michigan, enables attorneys to stay on top of constantly-evolving developments in tax law.
The conference covers changes on the national level, including the tax implications of the DOMA Supreme Court cases and health care reform, and in-depth analysis of state developments. Bergh will present on planning, drafting and administration issues for employee benefit plans, and transfer tax planning for same-sex couples in Michigan. Nemeth will participate in a round table format discussion to answer questions about the practice of tax law.
