Stefan Joins Varnum Corporate Practice
Jeffrey M. Stefan has joined the Corporate Practice Team at Varnum. He is based in the firm’s Detroit office.
Prior to joining Varnum, Stefan served as autonomous vehicle counsel at a major global automaker. In that role, he worked closely with the product development and business operation teams to provide regulatory counsel and transactional support. He previously served in emerging technologies/public policy where he addressed a wide range of issues impacting the company's emerging technology portfolio, including data privacy, cybersecurity and various telematics-related legal and public policy matters.
Stefan’s previous law firm experience encompasses a wide variety of commercial transactions with clients ranging from multinational corporations to technology startups. Stefan also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Paul D. Borman in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
Stefan is credentialed as a U.S. Certified Information Privacy Professional by the IAPP. He is a graduate of Wayne State University Law School, where he graduated magna cum laude, served on The Wayne Law Review and was a member of the Order of the Coif honor society. He received his undergraduate degree from Eastern Michigan University.
