Papke Elected GRBA Board Member and Treasurer of the Real Estate Section
Varnum attorney Melissa Papke has been elected treasurer of the Real Estate Section of the Grand Rapids Bar Association (GRBA).
Papke is a real estate and corporate law attorney with extensive experience in various areas of real estate law including development, land use planning, sales and acquisitions and cottage law. She joined Varnum in 2004 after practicing in New York for four years.
In addition to the GRBA, Papke is a member of the Family Services Board for Habitat for Humanity and the co-chair of the State Bar of Michigan's Real Property Law Section, Environmental and Energy Law Committee. She's a Fellow of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys and a recipient of the Commitment to Justice Award from InMotion, a pro bono organization serving the needs of domestic violence victims and low income women. Papke earned an undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College and her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.
