Kyros Elected to Grand Rapids Community Foundation Board
Varnum estate planning attorney and Executive Partner Tom Kyros has been elected to the Board of Trustees of the Grand Rapids Community Foundation.
The Grand Rapids Community Foundation was established in 1922 and has a mission "to build and manage the community's permanent endowment and lead the community to strengthen the lives of its people." With its endowment, the Community Foundation supports local nonprofits, leads significant social change and helps donors achieve their philanthropic goals.
Although his election to the board is recent, Kyros has served the Foundation for many years as a member of its Professional Advisor Committee.
Kyros has more than 20 years of experience designing and implementing sophisticated estate plans and advising family business owners. In addition to the Community Foundation, he works with several West Michigan non-profit organizations as a trustee and advisor, including DeVos Children's Hospital Foundation and East Grand Rapids Schools Foundation and Hope College.
