Kaminski Elected to State Bar of Michigan Business Law Section Council
Shanna M. Kaminski has been named to the State Bar of Michigan Business Law Section Council. The mission of the Business Law Section is to foster the highest quality of professionalism and practice in business law and enhance the legislative and regulatory environment for conducting business in Michigan. Shanna and the other council members were officially elected at the Business Law Section: Annual Meeting and Council Meeting Teleconference held via Skype on October 1, 2020. As a council member, she will serve a three-year term overseeing the Business Law Section of the State Bar.
Shanna is a member of Varnum’s Litigation and Trial Practice Team and Banking, Finance and Restructuring Practice Team, representing clients in a wide range of litigation, bankruptcy-related litigation, which includes defending individuals and businesses in adversary proceedings.
In addition, Shanna specializes in business litigation, representing businesses and individuals in complex business disputes, including shareholder and partnership disputes, breach of contract disputes, supply chain disputes and business torts. She has tried several matters in both state and federal courts, including bankruptcy court, and also has arbitration experience.
