International Alliance of Law Firms Ranked in Global Chambers 2016

March 22, 2016

The International Alliance of Law Firms, a global network of independent legal providers, was recently selected as a Leading Global Network by Chambers and Partners, publisher of leading guides to the legal profession. Varnum is a partner law firm of the IALF, which provides business-oriented legal counsel in 39 countries.

Chambers noted that the Alliance has expanded its global presence and continues to drive deeper relationships amongst members, and has “recently set up an organization that includes current member firms that wish to work in a more integrated and collaborative manner, and is designed to support in-house counsel with cross-jurisdictional mandates.” The listing highlights collaboration for clients in hospitality, commercial real estate and retail.

“The inclusion of the Alliance in Chambers Global is a testament to the continuing strength of our network, our focus on cross-border collaboration, and the ability of mid-sized law firms to meet clients’ legal needs around the world,” said Alliance President Michael Herbst.

Chambers has a team of over 150 highly qualified full-time researchers who identify and rank the world’s best lawyers and law firms based on in-depth, objective research. The final rankings are based on submissions by the legal practices and interviews conducted with counsel and clients, with greater weight given overall to the feedback of clients.

The International Alliance of Law Firm, founded in 1990, is a network of prominent law firms that provides clients a rapid and effective response to international business challenges. The Alliance includes 58 member firms in 39 countries. For more information, visit
