Heinz, Lin, Sturgis Join Varnum's Grand Rapids Office
Varnum is pleased to welcome three new associates to the Grand Rapids office. Nicholas C. Heinz, Sherry X. Lin and John W. Sturgis VII are now practicing law at Varnum.

In order to provide associates a well-rounded experience that allows an in-depth look at the work done in various areas of law, Varnum associates spend their first two years working with a variety of teams within the firm as they decide on an area for their legal focus.
Heinz earned his J.D. from University of Iowa School of Law where he graduated with distinction and was a writer and contributing editor for the Iowa Law Review. He earned his undergraduate degree from University of Michigan, where he majored in economics and political science and graduated with high distinction.
Lin is a cum laude graduate of Indiana University School of Law, where she received the Scribe Award for Excellence in Legal Writing and served as Articles Editor for the Journal of Law and Social Equality. She received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University. While attending law school, Lin completed several legal internships in San Francisco and Beijing, China.
Sturgis graduated with highest honors from University of Iowa Law School, where he served as a managing editor for the Iowa Law Review and was the recipient of the ALI/CLE Scholarship and Leadership Award. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan where he graduated with honors.
