Gleason is 'Create GReat' Award Recipient
The Center for Community Leadership recently presented its "Create GReat" award to Varnum estate planning attorney Linsey Gleason. The award recognizes members of the CCL community "for exceptional work that makes Grand Rapids a community of uncommon greatness."
Gleason was presented with the award at the CCL 2016 Annual Fundraiser on May 5.
"Linsey was selected by a group of her peers for the work she has done with Senior Neighbors, Gilda's Club, and the Public Museum," said Kim McLaughlin, Vice President of Member and Community Enrichment for the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce.
The Center for Community Leadership is a division of the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce, charged with providing intensive training, active networks and meaningful resources to equip talented professionals as they shape their careers, innovate within their companies and engage in community change. CCL programs include Leadership Grand Rapids, Emerging Leaders Series, Leadership Advantage, and Leadership: An Inside Out Perspective. Gleason is a graduate of Leadership Grand Rapids (LGR '13).
Gleason is a partner in Varnum's estate planning group. Her practice includes full service estate plan preparation, estate and trust administration, guardianship and conservatorship services, elder law advice and special needs trusts.
Gleason's extensive community involvement currently includes serving as Chair of the Board of Directors for Senior Neighbors, Inc.; serving on the Finance and Audit Committee of Heart of West Michigan United Way; serving on the LaughFest Cabinet for Gilda's Club; and serving on the Board of Trustees for Grand Rapids Public Museum Foundation. She is also a member of the Western Michigan Planned Giving Group and Partnership for Philanthropic Planning.
