Calvin College Honors Rynders with Outstanding Service Award
Varnum trial attorney Perrin Rynders has received the 2016 Outstanding Service Award from Calvin College. Rynders was presented with the award on September 22 at the Maroon & Gold Gala, Calvin's annual award ceremony.
The Outstanding Service Award is for alumni and friends of the college who have shown outstanding efforts by donating time and talents to Calvin and the Calvin community. Rynders (Class of '83), was recognized for his mentorship of students exploring the legal profession.
Rynders, who has practiced at Varnum for more than 30 years, has successfully prosecuted and defended a wide variety of business and commercial disputes, ERISA cases, employment cases, product liability and personal injury cases, health care fraud and tax matters. Since 2014, he has led the litigation team that has filed more than 150 cases on behalf of client companies against Michigan's largest insurer in a hidden access fees matter.
Rynders is recognized by several attorney and law firm ranking organizations and was recently inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers. The American College of Trial Lawyers is composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States and Canada and is widely considered to be the premier professional trial organization in North America.
