Bower Named to Leadership Detroit XXXVIII
Varnum attorney Matt Bower has been accepted into Leadership Detroit Class XXXVIII, the ten-month leadership program designed to challenge emerging and existing leaders from Southeast Michigan to bring about positive change.
Bower, a partner in the corporate services practice group, works closely with startups, second stage and private companies on day-to-day issues and all manner of corporate and intellectual property protection and transactions. He leads the firm's Startup and Emerging Companies team and works extensively with clients in the firm's MiSpringboard program.
Led by the Detroit Regional Chamber, the goal of Leadership Detroit is to create awareness of key issues that affect the Detroit region and challenge participants to bring about positive change in the community through informed leadership. More than 1,800 participants have taken part in the program since it was launched in 1979.
Leadership Detroit Class XXXVIII features 70 executives from across seven Southeast Michigan counties representing a cross-section of the community, including business, organized labor, government, education, media, civic groups, health services and community organizations.
