Allen To Moderate and Present at Annual Michigan Ethics Seminar
Varnum attorney John Allen will moderate and present at the Institute of Continuing Legal Education's Annual Michigan Ethics Seminar, Ethics Update 2013, in Plymouth, Michigan on November 5, 2013.
ICLE Seminars are hosted throughout the year and address practice problems and challenges that Michigan lawyers face. ICLE has assembled a network of volunteer presenters all of whom are acclaimed Michigan lawyers and nationally renowned experts.
This seminar will update participants on the most recent ethics rules and opinions including entering into prohibited client transactions, addressing conflicts of interest effectively and efficiently, and navigating the perils of representing clients in interstate transactions. Allen will moderate and present during the seminar. Other presenters include Dawn M. Evans, Director of Professional Standards, State Bar of Michigan and Victoria A. Vuletich, Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
John Allen focuses his practice on business and commercial litigation. Allen has written and co-written dozens of articles and books, and speaks frequently to business and law groups. On a regular basis, he teaches courses in law and trial practice to other lawyers, and often serves as an expert witness.
