Allen To Chair and Moderate at Annual Michigan Ethics Seminar
Varnum attorney John Allen will chair and moderate at the Institute of Continuing Legal Education's Annual Michigan Ethics Seminar, Ethics Update 2015, in Plymouth, Michigan on November 3, 2015.
ICLE Seminars are hosted throughout the year and address practice problems and challenges that Michigan lawyers face. ICLE has assembled a network of volunteer presenters all of whom are acclaimed Michigan lawyers and nationally renowned experts.
This seminar will update participants on the most recent ethics rules and opinions including the duty to be "tech competent," navigating conflicts of interest and practical solutions to common ethical scenarios. Allen will chair and moderate during the seminar. Other presenters include Alan M. Gershel, Michigan Attorney Grievance Commission; Victoria A. Vuletich, Thomas M. Cooley Law School; and Kenneth M. Mogill, Mogill Posner & Cohen.
Allen focuses his practice on business and commercial litigation. He has written and co-written dozens of articles and books, and speaks frequently to business and law groups. On a regular basis, he teaches courses in law and trial practice to other lawyers, and often serves as an expert witness.
