Allen Receives two ABA TIPS Appointments

Varnum trial attorney John Allen has received two American Bar Association (ABA) appointments to the Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section (TIPS). He has been appointed to the Revenue Enhancement Standing Committee and the Ethics and Professionalism Standing Committee.

The Revenue Enhancement Committee works with and assists the Section Revenue Officer in the development and implementation of the Section's policies and procedures. The Ethics and Professionalism Committee's primary duty is to promote consideration and understanding of issues related to the maintenance of the professional independence and standards of American lawyers.

Allen focuses his practice on business and commercial litigation. He is a Board Certified Civil Trial Advocate, by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Allen has written and co-written dozens of articles and books, and speaks frequently to business and law groups. On a regular basis, he teaches courses in law and trial practice to other lawyers, and often serves as an expert witness. He is a certified arbitrator and mediator.
