Trial Experience
Rich is a partner in Varnum’s Litigation and Trial Services Practice Group. He focuses his practice on litigation of a wide variety of complex commercial matters in state and federal courts. As chairman of the Probate Litigation Subgroup, Rich also has experience in probate litigation including will contests, guardianship/conservatorship matters, as well as disputes involving trust agreements.
He leads Varnum’s E-Discovery Task Force, where he advises clients on matters relating to the preservation and production of electronically stored information as well as best practices for companies in retaining data. Rich has handled all forms of alternative dispute resolution including facilitative mediation, arbitration, and case evaluation under the Michigan Court Rules.
