Family Law Experience

Rebecca Decoster is a member of the litigation practice group concentrating on family law. She is experienced in obtaining favorable results in divorce cases of all sizes, levels of complexity and conflict.  Rebecca is skilled in the resolution and litigation of issues and disputes regarding:

• property division (assets, liabilities and debt);
• separate property;
• asset valuation (including business valuation);
• alimony/spousal support;
• paternity;
• parenting time;
• legal custody of children; and
• physical child custody.

Rebecca routinely handles matters dealing with post-judgment modification of judgments or orders, such as child support modification and enforcement, changes of legal and physical custody, issues with visitation and parenting time, and the relocation or change of domicile of the children and/or custodial parent. In addition, Rebecca is experienced in drafting and negotiating premarital or pre-nuptial agreements. 

In addition to litigation, Rebecca is a skilled mediator in family law matters and can serve as a neutral mediator in cases where compromise and negotiation are possible.
