Corporate and Labor Experience
Jim DeBoer has practiced law with the firm since 1950. In the early years, when the firm had a small number of lawyers, he gained experience in many areas affecting businesses, including real estate, retirement plans, labor and employment related issues, corporate law as well as contracts, securities, mergers and acquisitions, and estate planning for executives. He became Counsel to the firm beginning January 1, 2006. Currently, he is a director of each of four private corporations and is a member of the Finance Committee of two of them. He attends the Board and Committee meetings held by each of those corporations. Each of the corporations has been a client of the firm for many years.
