Oil and Gas Experience
Jack has over 26 years experience in the oil and gas and energy-related legal practice. He has participated in several class action suits regarding the interpretation of oil and gas leases, Federal Power Commission suspended funds, Securities Act of 1933 and Securities and Exchange Act of 1934. He has represented significant litigation involving take or pay contracts, the right to and value of helium as well as state and federal antitrust laws. He has provided assistance regarding the purchase and sale of oil, gas and coal assets, including due diligence and documentation of the transaction as well as addressing applicable regulatory requirements.
Jack has also interpreted and advised clients on matters relating to oil and gas purchase and sale as well as transportation contracts, receipt point agreements, joint operating agreements, transportation of gas, subsurface storage of gas, the environmental aspects of the practice as well as oil and gas leases including federal leases. Prior and present representation includes clients from various states including Michigan, Texas, Kansas, Colorado, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Wyoming.
