Edward R. Post Counsel
Edward R. Post focuses his practice on facilitative mediation, following his career as a circuit court judge in Ottawa County. During his judicial career, Ed presided over thousands of cases, both civil and criminal, and conducted hundreds of jury trials. He has handled a multitude of settlement conferences and has significant experience in the pragmatic resolution of civil matters including business disputes, personal injury, family law matters, property disputes and more.
After 26 years on the bench, Ed is a skilled facilitator with a deep appreciation for the value of the mediation process. His experience and training as a judge enable him to help parties reach resolution in a fair and expedient manner.
In addition to business disputes, Ed presided over family court matters for many years and has significant experience working with parties involved in divorce, custody, parenting time and child support disputes.
Ed is a member of the Michigan Judges Association and has a unique perspective and knowledge of the judiciary and courts in West Michigan. Prior to his career on the bench, Ed served as a litigator in private practice for 15 years.
